Drama, Conflict and Emotional Reactivity Workshop

Conflict is often seen as a problem, but it rarely is. The problem usually lies within Emotional reactivity to the conflict, which often turns it into drama.

In this workshop, we’ll explore why people fall into unhelpful patterns when emotions run high and how those patterns affect our relationships, communication, and decision-making. Using Karpman’s Drama Triangle, you’ll learn to recognise the behaviours of Victim, Rescuer, and Persecutor, understand how they show up in everyday life, and discover why so many of us default to them under pressure.

We’ll also challenge common misconceptions about conflict by exploring the difference between healthy and unhealthy conflict, why we instinctively avoid difficult conversations, and why avoidance often creates bigger problems.

Most importantly, we’ll look beneath the behaviour to understand the emotions, beliefs, and protective strategies driving our reactions. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of yourself and others, along with practical tools to respond with greater awareness, confidence, and emotional resilience.
